have anti-rotation device - ARD that enables easy and proper installation because it does not allow rotation of the upper and the lower part of the connector around its axis, which results in easy and deep breakthrough of contact plates into the insulation of LV ABC during installation.
Marel Insulated Piercing Connectors with simultaneous piercing on main and tap are tested in accordance with the requirements of standards EN 50483, SRPS EN 50483, NFC 33-020, ГОСТ Р 70352-2022. They meet all the requirements of these standards, and some of the most important tests that are carried out are:
low temperature assembly test at -10 ± 3 C° to ensure that electrical continuity is achieved at a torque value less than 70% of the manufacturer's specified minimum installation torque;
testing of mechanical impact of contact plates by checking the mechanical stability of the main and branch insulated conductor;
testing of machanical impact of force - torque at which the shear head shears and mechanical strength of the connector (at 1,5x maximum torque specified by the manufacturer);
dielectrical voltage test in water (the assembly is immersed into water and after 30 min under water it is exposed to 6 kV for 60 s);
electrical ageing test by subjecting the connectors to 1000 cycles of heating and cooling;
environmental tests, corrosion tests;
test for permanent marking on Marel insulated piercing connectors with simultaneous piercing on main and tap.
